Here I am in the hat at BEA launching Soulless ARCs out into the world.
It is a Vivi by Elite made of semi crush-able straw. From the history of the maker, my guess would be 1950s. I added a black and white ribbon band over the join. It fits my head exactly, which I would call small.
If you'd like this hat all you have to do is like Retro Rack on Facebook and leave me a way of contacting you in the comments bellow by next Monday, November 21. I'll pick a winner by random number as soon as I get back from Teslacon.
Some other fun black and white hats . . . just because.
Good luck!
And one for Madame Lefoux

ReplyDeleteI have plenty of cloches and don't need another, but I did want to say that it is a very cute hat. Also, the second "fun black and white hat" is to die for.
ReplyDeleteLiked! And I've had an odd thing for black & white hats since the high school play days and my costume as Lady Bracknell with a three-foot-wise mostrostity of black & white flowers. I hated and loved that hat. victorianuttle at aol dot com.

Not interested in the hat (I'd look hideous in it) - but just had to comment on the Madame Lefoux pic! THAT is exactly what I pictured her like when reading your AMAZING Parasol Protectorate series! SO COOL to see the inside of my brains in someone else's photo!
