New Acquisitions ~ Bits and Bobs, Top and Shoes

Haven't done much shopping recently except out of necessity, Fashionable Reader. But I am using you ruthlessly to keep me honest about my spending habits, so here's what I have gotten:

Two pairs of Mia's Nomad flats. I already owned a pair in pale pink which finally died on me and then seized with panic, because these are discontinued, I combed the internet for replacements in 7.5. Found them in black and white. Rather chuffed with myself because I then chucked a pair of black flats, white flats, and the dead pink ones. So in the end I got rid of three pairs and replaced with two.
Amazon $20

Etsy $15

Had to buy a bunch of button front tops for post surgery. This was my favorite and the only one likely to stick around long term, provided as the New Rack settled the dreaded 'button gap" doesn't return. I just love the color. I think emerald is my favorite color to wear.

Ross $12

Thrifted $20

I got this thinking of steampunk outfits. But I may wear it to an evening event as well. I do have a cropped jacket from H&M that I usually use, or a beaded cardy, but the jacket is on it's last legs and both were too 1950s for steampunk. I don' know why I'm hunting for excuses, really I just thought this was so cute.

Target $12 sale

Been doing a lot of Target shopping recently for sleep bras. Knowing I have to replace my black tankini top, I delved into the swimsuit sale recently. Didn't find the black but did find this lovely leopard puppy. So cute and I may even wear it as a top on a hot day at a convention. Perhaps with my red capris.

Vintage Store $30

Vintage white cardy, acrylic. I have a cashmere cream colored one I love, but I needed a pure white and stumbled upon this puppy, joy of joys, not wool! Snapped it up.

Retro Rack is also on facebook where I post additional images and fashion thoughts.

  1. I just love the green shirt. I simply adore water colours: blues, greens and teals. Perhaps it can be worn with an octopus pendant? The White cardigan looks like one my aunt wore during college. Hers too had similar pearl buttons.
